The role of oil filter element:

Air compressor oil filter is the filter device of air compressor lubricating oil system, the main role is to filter the particulate matter contained in the compressor oil, coking matter and the residual welding slag in the gas tank.

Oil filter element made of glass fiber, solid structure, high filtration accuracy, long service life.

The oil filter seat is generally equipped with a by-pass valve. When too many impurities in the air compressor oil jam the oil filter, the air compressor will send an alarm signal, and the by-pass valve is opened at the same time to avoid the main engine of the air compressor.

The oil filter is composed of a filter base and a replaceable rotary filter element, with built-in bypass valves, so that when the filter element is dirty or the viscosity of the oil is too large, it can also keep the oil path unblocked.

Characteristics of the oil filter element:

Oil filter maintenance cycle:

1. Every 1000 hours;

2.ΔP2 alarm, pressure difference exceeds 20psig(1.4bar);

3. Every six months;

4. Change the oil every time.

The above four items are limited to first arrival.

Oil filter replacement steps:

1. Use a belt wrench to remove the old filter element and gasket;

2. Clean the mounting surface of the gasket;

3. Apply a thin layer of lubricating oil on the surface of the new gasket;

4. Fill the new oil filter with clean lubricating oil;

5. Screw the filter element by hand until the sealing ring contacts with the filter base, and then tighten the filter element by 1/2 ~ 3/4 turns;

6. Restart the machine and check for leaks.

Oil filter elements need to pay attention to:

1. Oil filter is equipped with pressure differential sensor.

When the pressure difference between the filter element and the filter element exceeds the set pressure (0.14Mpa), the monitor panel will display a maintenance signal to remind the unit operator to replace the filter element in time, standard and frequency conversion models;

2. Or in the instrument panel is equipped with oil filter pressure difference display table, when the pointer points to the red area, must replace the oil filter element, instrument model;

3. Oil filter differential pressure gauge (△P2) : monitoring the state of the oil filter.

If the filter resistance is too large, the pointer will point to the red area, at this time need to replace the filter element;

4. Note: the filter element is special for the company and cannot be replaced by other products.

Filter element can only be replaced, not cleaned.

The hazard of counterfeit oil filter element

1. The accuracy of the oil filter is poor, and the larger particles enter the head through the oil filter, which will lead to head wear, high temperature, noise, vibration, and even stuck;

2. The quality of the filter material is poor, and the filter material is damaged, shed and blocked in a short period of time, resulting in the lack of oil in the machine head and stuck;

3. Poor sealing material leads to oil leakage and is difficult to repair.
